Money for Schools

We all know that education is important. Education leads to more intellectual individuals and out-of-the box thinkers that society needs in order to operate efficiently. In order to receive the best education possible it requires the best teachers and an acceptable learning environment. Unfortunately, these things do require a lot of money. During the current economic downturn, education is very susceptible to budgetary cutbacks and school systems around the country are being forced to do more with less. Systems are forced to cut back on buying the necessary items to make education more effective; items like computers, projectors, whiteboards, cameras, computer programs, and much more. Schools have also fallen into disrepair, making the learning environment less conducive for students to learn. It is important for people to realize that education suffers greatly with even minor reductions in budgets. I believe that education should be made the last item to ever be affected by government cutbacks. Education should only be affected as a last and extreme resort. There are plenty of other areas that could take more of a hit. I know that this is a lot to ask, but education is much too important to be cutting back on.
